The time is the Muromachi period in Japan. The power of the shogunate was gradually waning. The shogun in Kyoto and the vice shogun in Kamakura competed with each other for dispatch, and before we knew it, the world of the Sengoku period had arrived. Yoshizane SATOMI was the person who escaped to the eastern sea in that era, escaped danger, won the hearts of the people in the lands of Awa and Kazusa, laid down good governance, and prospered to the tenth generation of his descendants.
Tracing Yoshizane's bloodline, it continues from the main family of Genji, and his father is Suemoto. At that time, Mochiuji ASHIKAGA, the vice-shogun of Kamakura, was showing a willingness to separate from the head family and become independent, and he did not listen to the advice of Norizane UESUGI, the regent, and had a falling out with the shogun Yoshinori ASHIKAGA. Shortly after, when the army from Kyoto came rushing in, Norizane, the regent, joined forces with the army and forced Mochiuji and his child to Hokokuji Temple in Kamakura to commit seppuku. This year is February 10, 1439 AD.
In this way, Mochiuji's first son, Yoshinari, committed suicide with his father and ended up in Kamakura, but his second son, Haruo, and his third son, Anno, barely escaped from the enemy's encirclement. When he escaped to Shimousa, Yuki Ujitomo welcomed him and surrounded him. Ujitomo did not obey the shogun's order and repulsed the Kanrei's large army that attacked him. In addition, Suemoto SATOMI and samurai who put their trust in Mochiuji gathered together to protect Yuki Castle, so they were able to protect it for three years in a siege.
By April 1441, food and supplies had run out. "It's useless to stay in the castle any longer. Let's fight and end together." Then, the Yuki clan, Satomi's army opened the gates of the castle and charged into the enemy camp. Although he was able to defeat many enemies, his army gradually decreased in number, and the castle was also taken by the enemy. Haruo and Anno were captured and executed at Tarui in Gifu prefecture. This is the story of the Yuki War, which was handed down to later generations.
