Chapter 1-1-3

炎上する城 Chapter1
When I looked back, I saw a spectacle that looked like the castle had already fallen. I was interrupted by two people and reprimanded.
"Returning to a fallen castle is a more ephemeral act than flying summer bugs into the fire. Please understand Father's feelings."
Even if I know it in my head, Yoshizane's feelings are just frustrating
"Let go, don't stop! Your words may be parental, but if you move forward now, what will you do with your heart as a human being?"
At that point, about 20 samurai from Kamakura were chasing them around the cypress forest.
"You look like a quick-running samurai. With that splendid armor and helmet, you look like someone of high status, but you're quite a weakling."
call.
"Noisy common soldiers, I didn't run away because I was afraid of the enemy. I'll deal with them now."
As he straightens his horse and draws his sword, Sugikura and Horiuchi also act as shields and spear. Due to the harmonious martial arts of the three masters, the opponent's soldiers fled in turmoil.
After that, the pursuers moved about 12 km while clearing up, and the sun went down. Soon there were no more enemies chasing us, and we sought lodging in a humble house for the night. When we left in the morning, we gave them horses and armor as a thank you, and transformed themselves so that they would not be recognized as fallen warriors.
Since this area would become enemy territory, I decided to go to the harbor and cross the sea, and on the third day after entering the Sagami Road, I arrived at Yatori Cove in Miura.
In the middle of the party, Horiuchi took a separate action and became Sugikura with Yoshizane, but we had food and no money, so we were exhausted and sat down at the root of a pine to rest until Horiuchi joined us.
Overlooking the sea leading to the cove, you can see Mt. Nokogiri at the end of the Boso Peninsula. I looked for a means to cross the sea in such a scenery, but I could not find a single ship.
So Sugikura calls out to the fishermen's children who are taking in the dried fish at the gate of the hut.
"Is there a ship around here to take me over there? I'm hungry from wandering in a land I can't get to. Would you mind giving me some food?"
Then a 14- or 15-year-old boy among them stepped forward sniffling,
"You're such a silly person. Because of the ongoing battle, most of the boats have been seized and we can't even go fishing. Who can deliver people to the other shore? How can you give food to a stranger when you can't even fill your stomach?
I grabbed a clod of earth and threw it. Sugikura avoided it and then flew towards Yoshizane, who was sitting behind him. However, Yoshizane dodged it and caught it with his hand.
Seeing this, Sugikura became emotionally angry.
"What are you doing? Because I am a traveler, I begged you for a little food, but I didn't lose anything just by telling you that there was no food. There's a limit to how rude you can behave.
With that excitement, he put his hand on the hilt of the sword and tried to start running. But Yoshizane immediately stopped calling,
"Sugikura, don't be immature. Even a great person can't win against an ordinary person when he gets old. Even the phoenix can be tormented by bugs if it's sick and weak. Yesterday was yesterday, today is today. Those people are suffering because of the battle. If you think about it, soil is the foundation of the country. It is a sign that heaven will give me that country when I cross over to Awa now. If you look at that child as rude, you will feel hatred, but if you see this as auspicious, you should be happy."
I celebrated and put the lump of earth in my bosom. Then Sugikura nodded his head obediently, untied his hand from the sword, and calmed down his anger.
